energy loans for commercial energy efficiency projects

Every enterprise has unique needs that need to be met to achieve energy efficiency. MACED’s Energy Specialist can help assess that need, the equipment required and the cost associated with upgrades so that the right loan can be made available to you.

Examples are below:

• A business in Rockcastle County, Kentucky, wanted to install a more efficient heating system. With MACED’s help, the business chose a wood-fired boiler. The estimated total cost of the equipment and installation was $23,000. After consultation with MACED’s loan officers and a review of the business’ assets, MACED offered a loan for the full amount.

• A business in Rockcastle County, Kentucky wanted to install three solar tubes for natural lighting. The estimated total cost of the equipment and installation was $2,000. After consultation with MACED’s loan officers and a review of the business’ assets, MACED offered a loan for the full amount.

• A nonprofit in Madison County, Kentucky, wanted to replace inefficient T-12 fluorescent light-bulbs with the more efficient T-8 variety. Housed in a commercial building, lighting constituted 35% of the nonprofits’ electricity usage. The nonprofit requested a $1000 loan from MACED to replace all T-12 bulbs and ballasts with T-8 equipment. After consultation with MACED’s loan officers and a review of the nonprofit’s assets, MACED offered a loan for the full amount.
