commercial lighting

Commercial lighting technology has improved dramatically in recent years. MACED provides information for three basic types of commercial lighting at this time:

• Exit signs

• Compact fluorescent lamps

• Fluorescent tube lighting

To complete a lighting audit of your facility, we suggest following these DIY steps and using this data sheet to collect your information. Once you’ve completed your lighting audit, contact us or an electrician for suggestions on energy efficiency upgrades you can make. If you already know what replacement equipment you’ll use, you can calculate energy and cost savings here. Be sure to have your per kWh rate and per kW demand rate from your utility ready to enter into the savings calculator.

Are lights left on in unoccupied areas? Occupancy based controls may be a solution.

MACED CFL Retrofit Calculator — Use this to calculate CFL upgrades.

MACED T12 to T8 Retrofit Calculator — Use this to calculate T12 to T8 linear fluorescent upgrades.

MACED Exit Sign Calculator — Use this calculator to estimate LED exit sign energy and cost savings.
