composting

CompostingOffice composting is a challenge! Each day, we produce about three pounds of coffee grounds, banana peels and assorted food scraps, plus several bushels a week of brown paper towels. We’re still working to perfect our technique and consistently turn out gorgeous rich compost, but we know we’re on the right track. In our first year of composting, we kept 475 pounds of compostable material out of the landfill and put it into staff members’ gardens instead.

MACED keeps 65 lbs. of compostable material out of landfills each month. Click to read more.
