Corey Craig. Chief Executive Officer of Citizens Bank in Mt. Vernon. Former president of Community Trust Bank. B.S. in Business Administration from Berea College-1997. Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University-2003. Chairman of Rockcastle County Industrial Authority and Economic Development Board. Serve on the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame and Museum Inc. Board of Directors. Serves on the Cumberland Valley Area Development District Board of Directors.

Katie Dollarhide. Project Manager for University of Kentucky’s Faith Moves Mountains, a cervical cancer intervention project. Born and raised in Letcher County, she calls Kingdom Come Creek home. She raises animals and gardens with her husband and two children. She has also been a member of Appalshop’s Board of Directors since 1990.

Richard Graff. Chair of MACED's Board 1981 - 1992. Experience in planning, community development, rural development, and multifamily housing development at state and federal levels. Vice-president of the Robert W. Baird and Company in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Peter Hille. Director of Brushy Fork Institute since 1994. Conducted community development workshops nationally and internationally in Russia and Slovakia. Focuses on building collaborative networks of diverse organizations serving the Appalachian region. A 1977 graduate of Swarthmore College. Background includes experience in grassroots environmental organizing and small business management.

Justin Maxson. President of MACED since 2002, previously MACED vice-president. Former executive director of the Progressive Technology Project, a national grant making and technical assistance organization working to strengthen grassroots social change efforts through the strategic use of technology. Prior experience on MACED staff as director of community development for Letcher County Action Team.

Tom Miller. Graduate of Marietta College, Marietta Ohio, 1968. Arthur Andersen and Company CPA certification, 1972. President of Kentucky Highlands Investment Corporation 1973-1983. Director of Program Related Investments and Assistant Representative with the Ford Foundation serving in United States and developing countries from 1983 - 1997. Consultant in the United States and East Africa 1997- 2004.

Steve C. Meng. Current chair of MACED's board. Eastern Kentucky small businessman presently managing Retail Floors, LLC, a wood flooring manufacturer based in Manchester, Kentucky. Served as CEO and director of business development for Kentucky Highlands Investment Corporation. Past treasurer of MACED's board.

Judy Jones-Owens. A lawyer, journalist, advocate and director of the University of Kentucky Center for Rural Health. Based in Hazard, the center employs about 120 people and operates educational programs, outreach and research for a variety of rural constituents statewide. Holds a BA in psychology and a law degree both from the University of Kentucky. A native of Middlesboro, Judy lives in an 80-year old Sears house with her English Springer Spaniel, Queen Elizabeth.

Herb E. Smith. Chair of MACED's Board from 2001 - 2004. Twenty-five years experience as film maker for Appalshop in Whitesburg, Kentucky. Under his leadership, Appalshop began June Appal Recordings, Roadside Theater and Mountain Review.
